The Neo-Frac™ Process

Neo-Frac™ is an advanced waste-reduction technology for recovering water and increasing reusability and potability during the process of hydraulic fracturing. The Neo-Frac™ solution is a cost-effective, environmentally-friendly method for maintaining a maximum level of water-reusability and a minimal amount of waste.

Preceding the hydraulic fracture, Neo-Frac™ uses an exclusively prepared fresh water-based fluid that continually removes bacteria throughout the entire fraccing procedure. The fluid eliminates corrosive buildup and improves overall well efficiency.

The Neo-Frac™ process treats water returned from the frac procedure to remove heavy metals, organics, and cations entirely on-site. The ability to treat water on-site gives the Neo-Frac™ solution an advantage over competitors by highly reducing on transportation costs to processing facilities.

1. Using Neohydro's proprietary electro-oxidation technology, Neohydro has an HOCL brine solution created on-site and added on the fly to eliminate the bacteria IRB SRB SLYME, reducing BOD and COD levels. The HOCL works on contact and has residual capabilities equivalent to biocide capabilities. No need to store or transport toxic biocides, also eliminating harmful effects of biocides on the environment.


2. Mixed oxidant bacteria-free frac process:  For high level bacteria issues, Neohydro uses mixed oxidant generators to create ozone, HOCL, free-radical, and hydrogen peroxide on site for on-the-go oxidizing of high level bacteria influents.
